Wow, what a huge week, with the Brisstyle Hand-made market at the Whale Mall last Saturday and then becoming a Grandma on Tuesday night. I'm still buzzing and exhausted at the same time and I think I have 'Sympathetic Baby Brain.'
My mind is part grasshopper, part goldfish and concentration and sequencing have gone out the window. Yet, I have renewed inspiration and have so many ideas bubbling away.
I'm so pleased with how my colouring-in book, 'Colour-Created By You,' has been received. I had to make an 11th-hour decision to have the book perfect bound instead of stitched and stapled because the 200gsm paper was jamming the machine. I was offered 150gsm paper but i wanted to keep the quality art paper. With this in mind, I will make a little video of how to open up the pages without creasing them or losing the margin. To get the most out of my book, open the pages and carefully push down and along the glue seam to loosen the glue but not break it. Do this for each page from the front to the middle of the book and then from the back page to the middle.
I've also listened to the feedback from the markets. I will add prints already packed in tubes with a string shoulder strap, to the market stall. This will enable people to safely carry their print around all day and on public transport. The tubes also come with labels ready for posting and can be reused or recycled.
I will be having another stall at the Brisstyle Hand-made markets,Whale Mall, Queensland Museum, at Brisbane's Southbank on Saturday 3rd June. In the meantime, my online shop is open all hours.
Have a great weekend and a Happy Mother's Day, in advance, to all the Mums out there!
